KCSO searching for suspect in pharmacy robbery

(WBIR - Farragut) The Knox County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person responsible for robbing a pharmacy in Farragut.

According to KCSO, an armed man robbed the Farragut Pharmacy on the 11000 block of Kingston Pike just after 6 p.m. Thursday evening. KCSO says the man jumped the counter, demanded pills from a store employee, then stole money from the cash register.

KCSO says it believes the man ran away toward the Kohl's store.

Woman's Christmas wish: her dog's safe return

(WBIR- West Knoxville) Just days before Christmas, a West Knoxville woman is hoping for a miracle.

Dina Taher found her home ransacked Thursday night. Televisions and several other items were stolen, but most importantly to Taher, her dog, Mellow, who was missing as well.

"It's an open letter to whoever burglarized my home - December 18th, just one week before Christmas."

(WBIR) The suspect in the fatal shooting of a teenager over the weekend has turned himself into authorities Wednesday afternoon.

Federal agents search west Knox business

Federal investigators searched a west Knoxville business Tuesday morning.

Officials from the Internal Revenue Service served a search warrant at Mayra Moreno just after 11:30 am. It's located on Downtown West Boulevard.

A sign on the building in Spanish says it is an insurance and income tax service business.

Invesigators were not able to provide any details about what they were looking for.

No injuries after Christmas caroler bus crashes on Northshore

(WBIR) Northshore Drive fully reopened Sunday night after a school bus carrying a group of young Christmas carolers went into a ditch.

Knox County Sheriff's Office said no one was hurt among the 33 kids and some adults on board from Farragut Presbyterian Church. The accident happened around 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

The church's Director of Children's and Youth Ministries, Katina Sharp, said they were thankful for Rural Metro for allowing the kids to warm up in their ambulance while they waited for a ride to pick them up.

KCSO investigating shooting death of teenager

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a teenager was shot and killed in in West Knox County overnight.

According to KCSO, Rural Metro pronounced 19-year-old Evan Hall dead at the scene.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning on Christen Lee Circle.

Officials said they have identified the accused shooter, but they have not yet released a name.
