Game of the Week: Catholic at West

The USA Today High School Sports Game of the Week features a District 4-AAA match-up between West and Catholic.

The Rebels (5-2, 2-2) were the favorite to grab the district runner-up spot until they were knocked off last week by Lenoir City. After the loss, West dropped from No. 2 in the AP 5A rankings down to the No. 5 spot. They sit in fourth place in the district behind Lenoir City, Bearden and Maryville.

Myers leads Maryville over Farragut, 61-40

Farragut's offense kept the Admirals in the game for most of the first half but the defense couldn't stop Nick Myers and the Rebels.

Myers finished with 331 passing yards and six touchdowns. The senior also rushed for 99 yards.

The Rebels scored on the first drive of the game when Myers connected with Cody Carroll.

Farragut answered on their first drive of the game with a Jackson Fain 59-yard touchdown run to tie it.

Week 6 Player of the Week Winners

The senior completed 20 of 23 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns in Lenoir City's win over Catholic.

Hall has led the Panthers to a 5-1 start after taking Lenoir City to the quarterfinals of the playoffs in 2011. Lenoir City will host West on Friday night. The game can be seen on cable channel 10News2.
