Pets & owners step out for K-9 Cancer Walk

Hundreds of owners and their four-legged friends came out to PetSafe's "K-9 Cancer Walk" in West Knoxville on Sunday.

The event was at the Cove at Concord Park and raised money to help dogs live healthy and cancer-free lives.

Nearly 50 percent of all dogs will battle cancer, and it's the number one cause of death in dogs over the age of two.

All the proceeds from Sunday's fundraiser benefited cancer research projects at the University of Tennessee and other universities nationwide.
