Archer's BBQ opens new location in Farragut

In honor of its grand opening, Archer's BBQ is giving away free sandwiches all day Friday.

On Friday morning, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett joined the restaurant for a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new location in Farragut on Kingston Pike.

Archer Bagley, a Memphis native, opened the restaurant in 2010. This is the shop's fourth location.

Friday's grand opening isn't the only big event for Archer's BBQ this week; the restaurant is also participating in the Knoxville Dance Project's "Q for a Cause" competition at Victor Ashe Park on Saturday at noon. The event is $10 for adults and free for kids.

Proceeds benefit the Knoxville Dance Project, which provides dance classes for kids who wouldn't normally be able to afford them.
