Man charged with attempted 1st degree murder in apartment shooting

A grand jury has indicted the suspect in an apartment shooting last month.

The jury charged 36-year-old Ronnie Harshaw with attempted first-degree murder. He's accused in a shooting incident that happened on September 18 at Bakertown Apartments.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested him several days later after a short chase.

Harshaw is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Knox authorities looking for woman suspected in at least 3 robberies

Knoxville and Knox County authorities are looking for a suspect  thought to be involved in three recent robberies.

The first happened Sunday around 1:45 a-m at a Middlebrook Pike Walgreens in Knox County.

The female suspect, disguised as a man, pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded all the cash in the register.

Authorities aren't sure how much cash she got away with.

She also matches the description in two other robberies.
One was early Tuesday morning at a Northshore Drive Walgreens.  The other was later that night at Marco's Pizza.

Authorities are looking for a suspect thought to be involved in three recent robberies.

Jogger says she was attacked in West Knox County

Authorities said they are looking for a man who assaulted a woman while she was jogging on a sidewalk in West Knox County on Monday morning around 6:30.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the assault happened on Steele Road near Valley View Landing Lane.

The victim said a man, wearing a gray sweatshirt with a hood, attacked her from behind, dove at her legs and then grabbed her right one. The woman said the suspect then pulled her right leg towards him and began kissing it.

3 charged after armed robbery, brief foot chase

Knoxville Police have charged three people in connection with the armed robbery on Sutherland View Way.

Malik Jones, 21, of Oak Ridge is charged with one count of aggravated robbery and is being held on a $75,000 bond. 

Malcolm Clark, 19, of Knoxville is with one count of aggravated robbery and is being held on a $25,000 bond. 

A 17-year-old boy is also charged with aggravated robbery.

Deputies searching for armed man who robbed Middlebrook car wash

Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man they say robbed a car wash at gunpoint.

It happened Friday afternoon at the Super Shine Express on Middlebrook Pike in West Knox County.

The sheriff's office says the man showed a handgun, then stole some cash and fled in a dark SUV.

Deputies say the suspect is in his 20s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11, thin, with short brown hair.

Man arrested for attempting to kidnap ex-girlfriend

A Knox County man is in jail after investigators say he tied up, duct-taped, then tried to kidnap his ex-girlfriend.

Neighbors spotted Clarence Mock trying to carry the girl out of her home in West Knox County.

After they tried to get in to help her, Mock took off.

Sheriff's deputies tracked him down shortly after at his home.
