Big Orange fans prepare for Florida game

It's a big week here in East Tennessee because it's Florida Week. The Vols will face off against the Gators on Saturday.

Big Orange fans showed their spirit a little early out in West Knoxville. Fans gathered in the corner parking lot of Belk to enjoy live music from the Southern Drawl Band.

There was also a Q&A with Bob Kessling and John Brice. Fans also got a visit from Smokey and the UT cheerleaders.

Texas Roadhouse served up ribs for the hungry fans at the event.

Million dollar Powerball ticket sold in West Knoxville

Someone in East Tennessee is a million dollars richer today.

The Tennessee Lottery says a winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Kroger Fuel Center at 9161 Middlebrook Pike.

The identity of the winner is unknown until they claim their prize, but the store also gets a $5,000 bonus once the prize is claimed.

This Powerball win is the 93rd ticket sold worth $1 million dollars or more and the second such win since Saturday.

Across the nation, people are stopping to reflect on the 9/11 attacks that happened 11 years ago.

Knoxville paused to remember the nearly 3,000 people who died during the tragedy in an informal gathering Tuesday morning.

A wreath was placed at the memorial on the City-County lawn. The public was invited to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 while local churches rang bells to mark the moment the first plane struck the Twin Towers in New York.
